Matthew R. Oliver is admitted to practice law in West Virginia, Ohio, and Kentucky. Matt grew up in Mason County, West Virginia. He graduated from Marshall University with a B.A. in Business Administration/Management and Cum Laude from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan.
Matt previously represented West Virginia State Employees as a labor lawyer with the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME), representing union members in grievances against the State. Matt also served as an advocate for Public Employees at the West Virginia Legislature. In addition to practicing law, Matt served as the Pulpit Minister at the Hurricane Church of Christ.
Matt is also an adjunct professor for Marshall University, teaching law-related courses at the Teays Valley Regional Center Campus.
Matt’s practice is primarily dedicated to representing injured persons and their families throughout the Tri-State region.
